I need a good program for archiving
Do you have a good advice on software for archiving and searching? I have finally lost track on all my picture files on my computer. Right now they are in folders with name and dates. But I would like something for searching in all those files on the harddisk.
I have tried Extensis Portfolio 7, but as far as I see it is good for archiving, not for searching. It can only search in those catalogs that are open (not all files in the root folder).
Photo Mechanic is good for browsing and adding keywords. And this is the closest I've come to a good piece of software for me. I would like to add keywords and descriptions so I later can search on the same words.
There is also iView Media (and iView MediaPro)....but I have yet no experience in that program.
What do you use for importing, organizing, archiveing and searching among all your digital files?

I have also used it for some days now. It seems to be what I've been missing....
